Q. Will I be asked to repeat a FIT?
 
A. You may be asked to repeat a FIT if the lab is unable to process the test due to the following circumstances:
  • The test has expired.
  • The collection date was not on the test tube or on the form.
  • The test was damaged in the mail.
  • The collection date was more than 14 days ago.
  • The analyzer malfunctioned.
  • The specimen was not kept in the envelope before mailing.
  • The information on the tube did not match the information on the form.
